The Loudoun Chamber community officially welcomed Angela Mitchell, of ARM Consulting, as the organization’s 2024 Chair of the Board of Directors at the 56th Annual Meeting and Community Leadership Awards on February 22, 2204.
Mitchell is the first Black Woman to serve as leader of the Board of Directors for Loudoun’s top business advocacy organization.
Mitchell has served in several leadership positions with Northern Virginia’s only 5-Star Accredited Chamber of Commerce, including as Chair of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Committee.
“I’m honored to serve as the 2024 Board Chair for the Loudoun Chamber, and equally proud to achieve the historic milestone of becoming this fine organization’s first Black Woman Board Chair. I am looking forward to working with our outstanding Board and staff to achieve great things for our community in 2024, through partnerships, diversification, inclusiveness, and transparency, “said Mitchell.
Mitchell follows in the footsteps of Carol Barbe, owner of Backflow Technology LLC, who served as Chair in 2023.
“It has been a privilege to serve as Chair of the Board of Directors in 2023 and to work with Angela Mitchell and other great leaders to grow our membership, serve our members and strengthen the Chamber’s financial position. I look forward to supporting Angela as our new leader, as we continue to serve the Loudoun business and nonprofit communities,” said Barbe.
